Day 1!!!

A long nerve wracking day, a longggg wait in the airport and we made it!
Some vomit, not much sleep and lots of movies later....we arrived in Jerusalem. Ben and Sammy are in absolute awe of the loud nasty but loving Israelis, the music and the scenery as we drove- they both keep pinching their arms.
Let the fun begin!!

We settled int othe hotel and off we went...to the famous Big Apple Pizza for a little snack

Next we headed to the old city when the boys were amazed by the very loud outdoor markets, overly friendly store owners and their favorite, soldiers strolling with guns and yarmulkas.
We made our way to the Kotel (where mama musketeer started bawling :)) We stood together hugging and savoring the moment we've waited for for so long. Then we each went to the wall and said a special prayer.

Next we headed to Midgal David an amazing museum in the old city chronicling 4,000 years of the history of Jerusalem. We watched an outdoor light show which was breathtaking (after of course their lost power was restored...what's with us and electricity??)

Next we headed for a little carnivore heaven and had lamb burgers fully loaded outdoors which dancing and people watching.


We just got back to our hotel happy exhausted and anticipating our first full day here in heaven!
