Headed to Raanana and Tel Aviv but here's what we did the past 2 days.....
Monday morning we were so lucky to be able to celebrate Daniel's bar mitzvah with Jenny and David,(and Jenny's twin Lara) my best friends from high school- amazing the last time we stood at the kotel together we were 16!
ohhh Sammy :))
After the breakfast and beautiful speeches we headed to Efrat to see Netanel! We had pizza and headed for Caliber 3 and our amazing shooting adventure.
Our amazing teacher Eitan/Cheeta his nickname because hes so fast!
The soldiers taught us all about counter terrorism and demonstrated the coolest mission.
Next we shot pistols- .22 caliber and rifles. And I won a contest shooting 2 balloons from full range with a rifle! They said I was a natural!
We loved this!!!!!
We headed back to Jerusalem and went to a delicious restaurant called Hamoshava and stuffed our faces once again :)
Tuesday morning, we woke up early went to the kotel to daven then met the Bermans and the Sakers for our Old City scavenger hunt! It was Election Day so no one had work or school.
We split into teams of all the big kids vs. the adults. We learned so much about the Old City, even the adults who have been here so many times- was so much fun!
We all had lunch together then said goodbye to the Bermans. The Sakers joined us and we went to Mea Shearim the very ultra orthodox area and the kids all got Siddurs with their names on them and explored the area. Next we went back to the shuk and got fresh zaatar pita and pomegranates to snack on...oh and a kilo of chocolate rugelach fresh from the oven at Marzipan, a famous amazing bakery- the kids all devoured them! (me with hot chocolate burning my mouth!)
We said goodbye to Dara and the girls and Netanel came to dinner with us and Jenny, David, Lara and all of the kids and parents to Waffle Bar- oh waffles and ice cream isn't dinner? Of course not! Pizza at 10 before bed! Natanel slept over and we had an amazing day!!
